LivingWorks Education

LivingWorks, an international suicide prevention and intervention organization, began in Canada in 1983. Since that time, it has expanded to 23 countries.

I am a trainer of ASIST, safeTALK, suicideTALK, and am also a Consulting Trainer who works with new, reactivating, and other trainers. I can provide training in English or in French.

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, or ASIST, is a 15-hour workshop given over two consecutive days. It is designed for caregivers of all types, from age 16 upward, to feel ready, willing, and able to intervene when there is an immediate risk of suicide.

Suicide Alertness for Everyone

Suicide Alertness for Everyone, or safeTALK, is a three- to four-hour workshop designed to create suicide-alert helpers (ages 15 and upward). People trained in safeTALK are able to identify suicide thoughts, and to connect a person at risk with someone trained in suicide intervention.

Suicide TALK

suicideTALK is a 90-minute workshop designed to create awareness of suicide, and to reduce its stigma. It encourages open and direct talk about suicide.

Consulting Trainer

As a Consulting Trainer, I am available to support trainers who are new, re-activating their status, or who simply want to improve their skills. I can work with people either in edition 10 or 11. This can be done in-person, at one of your workshops, or by telephone, email, or Skype.
